Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions answered

Does the program save my data automatically?
Every time you click Save, your data is stored in the browser session. We recommend downloading a CSV export regularly as a backup.
Is my data private and secure?
Yes. All data is stored locally in your browser only. No data is sent to any external server — your information stays completely on your device.
How are CO₂e values calculated?
The program uses standard UK/international emission factors aligned with the GHG Protocol. For example, grid electricity uses 0.45 kg CO₂e per kWh and clinical infectious waste uses 3.7 kg CO₂e per kg.
Can I use this on my phone or tablet?
Yes — the program works on any device with a web browser. For the best experience we recommend a laptop or desktop when entering large amounts of data.
Who should use this program?
Laboratory managers, clinic administrators, sustainability officers, nurses, and any healthcare professional responsible for environmental reporting or waste management compliance.
